This will now take place on Friday 4th November in Oliver’s function suite Drumchapel Rd. Details will be available later but if you feel able to help organise this event then please speak with Joe Higgins or Fr. Balmer

THE NEW MASS TRANSLATION

Today we reflect on The GLORIA

Glory to God in the highest and peace to people of goodwill.

We praise you, we bless you,

we adore you, we glorify you,

we give you thanks for your great glory,

Lord God, heavenly King,

O God, almighty Father.

Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son,

Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father,

you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us;

you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer;

you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.

For you alone are the Holy One,

you alone are the Lord,

you alone are the Most High,

Jesus Christ,

with the Holy Spirit,

in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

PERMANENT DIACONATE

2011 is the 25th anniversary of the restoration of the Permanent Diaconate in Scotland. There are now 60 deacons ministering in the country. By their formation and vocation they can witness Gospel values at home and in the work place. As an ordained minister of the church, they live their vocation in a variety of ways witnessing to the dignity of the human person and of work accepting the challenge to be responsible stewards of creation, building peace and solidarity among all the peoples of the earth.

If you are a man over 30 yrs. and want to respond to this challenge, why not consider a vocation to the permanent Diaconate?

Please speak to Fr. Frank or Fr. Anthony about any interest you may have in the Permanent Diaconate. Please continue to pray and support all our deacons especially those working in the Glasgow Archdiocese.
